McAllister Opinion Research uses an array of research methodologies and analytical techniques to help companies, governments and non-profits gain indepth understanding of customers, stakeholders and citizens. We specialize in the areas of market intelligence, public policy and communications and in the past 24 months have conducted research in Canada, United States, Europe and Latin America.
Our studies have been covered in the CBC, CTV, Globe & Mail, CanWest Global, La Presse, Ming Pao, Canadian Press and Associated Press as well as numerous trade publications and journals.
McAllister takes a particular interest in sustainability and environmental issues, directing the Environmental Monitor research program in Canada. The Environmental Monitor research program has surveyed public attitudes on environmental issues in over 25 countries and has tracked the trends in Canada for nearly 20 years. McAllister has extensive experience in managing all forms of field operation from telephone polls and focus groups to online polls and web analytics. We have recently developed cutting-edge ajax-based online software that uses a visual game-like interface to test the power of images to move an audience, in addition to text. McAllister uses SPSS statistical software to conduct both conventional analyses as well as advanced statistical procedures like segmentation, factor analysis and regression.
Prior to founding the firm in Vancouver in 2001, the company principal, Angus McAllister, served as Vice President, Global Research with Angus Reid, and prior to that was Vice President with Environics International (GlobeScan) in Toronto.
